Hara Oyedeji is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatric Mental Health (CRNP-PMH). She has specialized in behavioral health since starting her nursing career in 2011 but initially began her counseling career with college students in 2003. Hara has experience working in both emergency & inpatient hospital and outpatient care settings, treating children to adults across the lifespan. She has spent time working with many patients who suffer from both acute and chronic mental health crises, substance abuse & addictions, and psychosocial problems.
Hara’s beliefs and values are based on the foundation of service and helping others. Within her current role, she is dedicated to working with those who are marginally stigmatized by mental health issues. She provides the necessary services, including medication management, in a therapeutic context geared toward positive life changes. Hara believes in a holistic approach that recognizes the relationship between mental and physical health. She is committed to serving marginalized communities, women & children to reach optimal health in all areas.
Hara is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), specializing in psychiatry, and is registered with the Maryland State Board of Nursing. She received her Post Master’s Certificate from Drexel University’s Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Graduate Program in 2017. Prior, she graduated in 2011 from the University of Maryland School of Nursing with her second Master’s Degree and from Monmouth University in 2005 with her first Master’s Degree in Education, specializing in higher education administration. Her bachelor’s degree was earned in 2002 at Rutgers University in New Jersey. She is currently completing her terminal degree at Frontier Nursing University, where she is pursuing her Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP). Hara’s education has built a foundation for her leadership skills and helped guide her to the advanced level she is now as a psychiatric nurse practitioner.
